Sunny Sunday

Yesterday was awesome! I went out with my friends Ayesha and Alex, and we went up north to the lake. We went to lake Simcoe where I used to swim many summers ago. It was peaceful, warm and a lot of fun. Alex was sweet enough to bring biriyani with him, which I have to say was orgasmic, and also treated us to a slushy later on in the day. It was too bad that they didn't bring bathing suits, as I was wearing mine. I didn't swim though since I didn't want to be the only one in the water.

Later on in the night Ayesha had the crazy idea of wanting to go to a strip club. Both her and I have never gone... so of course Alex decided to stop by Imran's work which was close to the club, and dragged him along. Had a couple drinks... played pool... but I have to say that the strip club sucked ass!

Went Out Anyway

I didn't end up going to Mandi's birthday party, but I did go to a movie. We went to Red Lobster... we couldn't decide what to order, so we got fish and chips and popcorn shrimp, and shared! Nothin better then deep fried fish! So from there we continued to walk to Yorkdale mall...and I was a little hot since I've been so lazy being at home all the time. Ya...I was feelin the heat and sweating.




Anyway, we ended up seeing the movie The Step Brothers. Let me tell you that it was hilarious and it will be added to my collection once it comes out on dvd. We couldn't stop laughing the whole movie...which is what I needed!



After the movie we walked a bit...took our time walking through the parking lot. As usually by this time Rachid was calling trying to ruin my time. I shouldn't have let that bother me... but I was little upset about it. Other then that part, it was a really nice evening. It's just nice to actually go out for a change

Depressed

Tonight I was supposed to see some old friends that I haven't seen in like seven years, but I'm not going because I feel so fat. I know they'd be thinking... wow she sure got fat. I'm jobless, fat, and getting divorced...wow I'm a real loser right now. As you can probably tell... I'm feeling very depressed today. I was starting to get ready and figure out what I was going to wear tonight, and nothing fits. With me being off for over a month I have put on weight. I was planning on wearing jeans... well I feel like I'm going to explode out of them.
My anxiety and depression is getting worse...making me really struggle with everything. I don't even want to go out anymore. I just feel so down.

Pria Powerbars (all flavors) - 110 cals, lots of vitamins and minerals, plus they give you energy.
Diet Sodas - NO CALORIES!!!
Good Humor Lowfat Fudgecicles - 45 cals! Great for releaving chocolate cravings.
Sugar-Free Jell-O - I love this stuff. Only 10 cals per serving.
Green Tea - No speakable calories, but it helps boost metabolism and flush out toxins.
Everlasting Gobstoppers - 9 of these have only 50 calories. Since they last so long, you can spread them out over an entire day!
Chicken bullion instant soup cubes - Only 5 cals per cube, which makes one cup of soup to keep you full.
Puffed Rice Cereal - Kashi makes a good one with 70 cals per cup. Tasty and high-fiber, too.
Nonfat Soy Milk - 70 cals, 0 grams of fat per serving. Compare to 90 cals per serving of nonfat / skim cow's milk.


Breaking The Habits!

For all those who missed out on an opportunity to have quit smoking as their New Year resolution, here’s good news for all of you. Be it your own addictive personality or someone else's, here are some steps that can be taken to battle it.

Acknowledge yourself: The first step to recovery is to admit for a fact that you are an addict. Be supportive and understanding towards yourself or a friend and on a very positive note accept your/his shortcomings. Take responsibility of your own actions and feelings and face the world positively.

Meet like-minded people: There are a huge number of 12-step programs and other support groups available. You or your friend might find it helpful to get together with other people who have similar problem. Talking about the addiction reconfirms the fact that you're not the only one living with enslavement.
Stage an intervention: Consider yourself walking into a room one evening; visualize your girlfriend, boss, brother, and best friend. All of a sudden gather your thoughts and think someone is locking the door behind you, don't panic. It's called an intrusion and they want to tell you how your habit is wreaking havoc in their lives. Getting angry and defensive will not make it any easier. Try listening. If you have to take this type of stand with a friend, read up on it well in advance. It's a highly emotional but potentially life-changing event.
Seek professional help: There's no embarrassment in obtaining medical help or psychological counseling. Whether you suffer from one addiction or several, you can find different ways to combat the compulsion and reclaim your mental and physical health. Speak with your doctor or call a counseling referral line.
If there is such a thing as an addictive personality and you are inclined to potentially harmful time-consuming habitual actions, being aware of it allows you to regain your determination.

Best Diet Tip No. 1: Drink plenty of water or other calorie-free beverages.

People sometimes confuse thirst with hunger. So you can end up eating extra calories when an ice-cold glass of water is really what you need.

"If you don’t like plain water, try adding citrus or a splash of juice, or brew infused teas like mango or peach, which have lots of flavor but no calories," says Cynthia Sass, RD, a spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association.
Best Diet Tip No. 2: Think about what you can add to your diet, not what you should take away.

Start by focusing on getting the recommended 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables each day.

"It sounds like a lot, but it is well worth it, because at the same time you are meeting your fiber goals and feeling more satisfied from the volume of food," says chef Laura Pansiero, RD.

You're also less likely to overeat because fruits and vegetables displace fat in the diet. And that's not to mention the health benefits of fruits and vegetables. More than 200 studies have documented the disease-preventing qualities of phytochemicals found in produce, says Pansiero.

Her suggestion for getting more: Work vegetables into meals instead of just serving them as sides on a plate.

"I love to take seasonal vegetables and make stir-fries, frittatas, risotto, pilafs, soups, or layer on sandwiches," Pansiero says. "It is so easy to buy a variety of vegetables and incorporate them into dishes."

When you're done eating, you should feel better -- not stuffed, bloated, or tired.

"Your stomach is only the size of your fist, so it takes just a handful of food to fill it comfortably," says May.

Mindless eating occurs most frequently after dinner, when you finally sit down and relax.

Either close down the kitchen after a certain hour, or allow yourself a low-calorie snack, like a 100-calorie pack of cookies or a half-cup scoop of low-fat ice cream. Once you find that you're usually satisfied with the low-cal snack, try a cup of zero-calorie tea, suggests Perdomo.

"I think putting your favorite foods off limits leads to weight gain because it triggers 'rebound' overeating," says Sass.

Instead of cutting out your favorite foods altogether, be a slim shopper. Buy one fresh bakery cookie instead of a box, or a small portion of candy from the bulk bins instead of a whole bag.

"You can enjoy your favorite foods, but you must do so in moderation," says Sass.

Best Diet Tip No. 6: Enjoy your treats away from home.

When you need a treat, Ellie Krieger, RD, host of Food Network’s Healthy Appetite, suggests taking a walk to your local ice cream parlor or planning a family outing.

"By making it into an adventure, you don’t have to worry about the temptation of having treats in the house, and it is a fun and pleasurable way to make it work when you are trying to lose weight," says Krieger.

And for those times you just can't get out? Krieger stocks her kitchen with fresh fruit, which she thinks can be every bit as delicious as any other dessert.
Best Diet Tip No. 7: Eat several mini-meals during the day.

If you eat fewer calories than you burn, you will lose weight. But when you're hungry all the time, eating fewer calories can be challenging.

"Studies show people who eat 4-5 meals or snacks per day are better able to control their appetite and weight," says obesity researcher Rebecca Reeves, DrPH, RD.

She recommends dividing your daily calories into smaller meals or snacks and enjoying as many of them as you can early in the day -- dinner should be the last time you eat.

Protein is more satisfying than carbohydrates or fats, and thus may be the new secret weapon in weight control.

"Diets higher in protein [and] moderate in carbs, along with a lifestyle of regular exercise, have an excellent potential to help weight loss," says University of Illinois protein researcher Donald Layman, PhD.

Getting enough protein helps preserve muscle mass and encourages fat burning while keeping you feeling full. So be sure to include healthy protein sources, like yogurt, cheese, nuts, or beans, at meals and snacks.

Add spices or chiles to your food for a flavor boost that can help you feel satisfied.

"Food that is loaded with flavor will stimulate your taste buds and be more satisfying so you won’t eat as much," says Perdomo.

Having ready-to-eat snacks and meals-in-minutes staples on hand sets you up for success. You'll be less likely to hit the drive-through or call in a pizza order if you can make a healthy meal in 5 or 10 minutes.

Sass stocks her kitchen with:

* 94% fat-free microwave popcorn (20-25 calories per cup, and you can make it in two minutes or less)
* Frozen vegetables
* Bags of pre-washed greens
* Canned diced tomatoes
* Canned beans
* Whole-grain wraps or pitas
* Pre-cooked grilled chicken breasts
* A few containers of pre-cooked brown rice

Within minutes, she can toss together a healthy medley.
Best Diet Tip No. 11: Order children’s portions at restaurants.

"When you are eating out, order a child’s pizza or a small sandwich as an easy way to trim calories and get your portions under control," suggest Perdomo.

Another trick is to use smaller plates. This helps the portions look like more, and if your mind is satisfied, your stomach likely will be, too.

"If you don’t love certain fruits or vegetables, it could be because you ate them out of season when they have little taste or flavor," says Pensiero. "When you eat seasonally, fruits and vegetables are more flavorful, at their best, and I promise you won’t be disappointed."

At GiGi’s Trattoria, her restaurant in Rhinebeck, N.Y., she serves simple fruit desserts, like naturally sweet strawberries topped with aged balsamic vinegar, or low-fat yogurt or fresh berries in a compote.
Best Diet Tip No. 13: Swap a cup of pasta for a cup of vegetables.

Simply by eating less pasta or bread and more veggies, you could lose a dress or pants size in a year.

"You can save from 100-200 calories if you reduce the portion of starch on your plate and increase the amount of vegetables," says Sass.

Sooner or later, you're going to be faced with a stressful situation. Instead of turning to food for comfort, be prepared with some non-food tactics that work for you.

Sass suggests reading a few chapters in a novel, listening to music, writing in a journal, practicing meditative deep breathing, or looking at a photo album of loved ones.

Drink more fluids during a small meal. For every time you lift a fork, take a sip of water. This way, the people at the dinner table will feel like you're eating, and you aren't consuming as much food.

Drink a tall glass of ice cold water to burn more calories. You're body burns calories because it needs to adjust with the cold temperature. Besides, water provides volume but not calories.

Drink a steaming cup of hot tea/water to feel fuller. Green tea is especially recommended; it might not taste as great as other teas but one of the most beneficial.

Drink a steaming cup of coffee. It'll curb your appetite, give you a wake up call (ie. caffeine) and make you feel full. This is good for mornings. Drink it with an apple or small portion of food to jump start your metabolism.

Eat food with lots of fiber in it. It helps because your system takes longer to digest fiber, which helps you feel fuller, longer. Research even shows that eating an additional 14 grams of fiber per day is associated with a 10 percent decrease in calorie intake and a loss of body weight of a four pounds in four months.

When you feel the hunger pangs really kicking in, sample food, than spit it out. Pretend you're allowed to eat, when you're really not.

If you can't resist anymore and you need to eat, eat greens! Consume as much salad as you'd like, since it doesn't hold much calories anyway. Besides, it's good for you!

Eat more protein. A number of studies indicate that calories-for-calorie, protein makes a person feel more full than carbohydrates or fats.

Eat more water-rich fruits, vegetables, and soups

Choose broth-based soups as a meal. Fewer in calories, but warm and filling.

Exchange a bad habit for a good one - f.i., my boyfriend exchanged smoking for jogging every morning. This may be hard, but VERY rewarding if you can do it! Exchange eating for yoga, or meditation, or reading more.

Make yourself nauseas! You won't eat!

Think higher or yourself! You're too good to put THAT in your body!

Plan you goal out to the letter, then write out your plan for the day you reach your goal. What will you do first What will you buy???

Save the money you would have spent on that meal in a jar. Lunch cost $6.74? Save it in a bottle instead and watch it grow!

Back To His Usual Self

Once again when I thought Rachid was being nice... he's back to his asshole self. He doesn't want to help out with rent... I've been off work now for a while and this month I have no way of paying it. As a husband he should be helping out...but he is being an asshole about it. He also refuses to pay the Bell bill...which is the home phone, internet and the satellite. He says that he doesn't use most of it... that he doesn't care about that stuff. Funny...he's the one that uses the internet the most, yet he says he doesn't use it.

I am just so frustrated...I need a job and want to get the hell away from here. I was supposed to go see an apartment tonight, but I decided against it. I should really find out where I will be working first and then look for a place. No sense in moving to Scarborough if I will be working in the west end. I am getting bored being at home...I miss working. I just need a different life then right now... I need to get rid of him.

The best part of those movies are always those famous lines that everyone remembers... like "You had me at hello". By this point of the movie I've already gone through a million tissues!

Once again I didn't sleep well last night. I guess a couple reasons would be that I'm stressed about my marriage, and how I'm on the verge of divorce. Plus I'm worried when it comes to money. Rachid doesn't want to give me more then $600 for rent... don't know where he thinks I would come up with the rest. He' knows that I've been off from work... guess he thinks I will pull money from my ass or something. He is very selfish... a spouse should help out if the other is out of work. Another reason I'm stressed... I'm trying to decide if I should give notice for where we live right now... have to give 60 days notice. Since I don't have a job it would be hard finding a new apartment on my own. Not too sure what I should do. Hmmm... no wonder I have a killer stye on my eye! I think I will go back to bed now.

Also I have noticed that the site has received a lot more exposure and has become quite popular. Maybe you have seen some reports about them on Fox News TV, or from the radio. I Have A Killer Stye

This morning I'm in hell! I have a killer stye that formed since yesterday, and it fuckin hurts. I haven't had one of these for years...but I'm definatly making up for it!



Here's some cool info on styes:

A stye or hordeolum is an infection of the sebaceous glands at the base of the eyelashes. While they produce no lasting damage, styes can be quite painful.

Causes
Styes are generally caused by a Staphylococcus aureus bacteria infection. Although they are particularly common in infants, styes are experienced by people of all ages. Styes can be triggered by stress or poor nutrition. Using the same razor to shave hair near both the eyes and a mustache can also spread staphylococcus bacteria, potentially leading to styes or other eye infections.

A stye can be secondary, caused by blepharitis. A blocked oil gland near the eye, a chalazion, is often mistaken for a stye.

Signs and symptoms
The first signs of a stye are tenderness, pain and redness in the affected area. Later symptoms include itching, swelling, watering of the eye, sensitivity to light and discomfort when blinking. A yellowish bump sometimes develops in the affected area. This can be found on the top, bottom, or any area pertaining to the eye.

Treatment
While most styes will drain on their own, this process can be accelerated by the application of a hot or warm compress or by pulling out the eyelash. There is also a specialized Polysporin topical ointment for styes. With treatment, styes typically resolve within one week. While a stye is technically a pimple and can be popped, doing so is not recommended without technical expertise given its proximity to the eye. Styes may also cause a bruised feeling around the eye, which can be treated through the application of a warm cloth. Just like any infection try not to touch it with your fingers.

Medical professionals will sometimes lance a particularly persistent or irritating stye with a needle in order to accelerate its draining. A stye's expansion can also be fought with erythromycin ophthalmic ointment. Medical professionals may also prescribe Amoxicillin over a period of a week.

If a stye bursts care must be taken to cleanse the wound to prevent reinfection. Those with a stye that may burst should take care to remain within reach of an antibacterial solution.

Contact lenses should never be worn during treatment for a stye. Eye make-up is not recommended, and it is also important to refrain from touching the stye.

When Games are considered in general, Computer games has a hype all around the world. Computer games gives you more pleasure than any other game. It takes you to a lot of fantasy worlds which you never would have thought of. I don't normally download games from the Internet but sometimes I play games online. Cuteness!








Back Home

I was at moms house the last couple days, and it's always good to be back home. Rachid has been surprisingly nice...hmmm... he must have something up his sleeves. Just when I think okay, enough is enough with him... he starts acting cute. I wonder how long this will last this time? I bet probably only a couple hours. Maybe it was because I was at moms for a few days. Maybe he actually missed me. Tonight he actually hugged me and said that he loved me. Maybe aliens took over his brain?!!!

Still no luck job hunting... it fuckin sucks. Soon I will have to go apply at Mcdonalds or something. I pray that I wont have to do that!

Too Cute and Funny!

Cinderella is now 95 years old.

After a fulfilling life with the now dead prince, she happily sits upon her rocking chair, watching the world go by from her front porch, with a cat named Bob for companionship.

One sunny afternoon out of nowhere, appeared the fairy godmother.



Cinderella said, 'Fairy Godmother, what are you doing here after all these years'?

The fairy godmother replied, 'Cinderella, you have lived an exemplary life since I last saw you. Is there anything for which your heart still yearns?'

Cinderella was taken aback, overjoyed, and after some thoughtful consideration, she uttered her first wish:


'The prince was wonderful, but not much of an investor.
I'm living hand to mouth on my disability cheques, and I wish I were wealthy beyond comprehension.
Instantly her rocking chair turned into solid gold.

Cinderella said,
'Ooh, thank you, Fairy Godmother'

The fairy godmother replied,
'It is the least that I can do.
What do you want for your second wish?'

Cinderella looked down at her frail body, and said,
'I wish I were young and full of the beauty and youth I once had.'



At once, her wish became reality, and her beautiful young visage returned. Cinderella felt stirrings inside her that had been dormant for years.

And then the fairy godmother spoke once more:
'You have one more wish; what shall it be?'


Cinderella looks over to the frightened cat in the corner and says, 'I wish for you to transform Bob, my old cat, into a kind and handsome young man.'
Magically, Bob suddenly underwent so fundamental a change in his biological make-up that, when he stood before her, he was a man so beautiful the likes of him neither she nor the world had ever seen.


The fairy godmother said,
'Congratulations, Cinderella, enjoy your new life.'

With a blazing shock of bright blue electricity,
the fairy godmother was gone as suddenly as she appeared.

For a few eerie moments,

Bob and Cinderella looked into each other's eyes.


Cinderella sat, breathless, gazing at the most beautiful, stunningly perfect man she had ever seen.

Then Bob walked over to Cinderella, who sat transfixed in her rocking chair, & held her close in his young muscular arms.

He leaned in close, blowing her golden hair with his warm breath as he whispered...

'Bet you're sorry now that you cut my nuts off'

Tired of Job Hunting


Yesterday I had an interview for AlarmForce. The place was really nice and it would be a great opportunity to work for the company. The only thing...they are only hiring two people, and they are interviewing about 12. Makes me a little sad...afraid really. I am at the point where I'm ready to panic since I've been out of work for over a month now. If I'm lucky I will get a call for a second interview...I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
