Monitoring and Losing Lbs Using My Kitchenier Premium Kitchen Scale #Kitchenier!
For many years I've used a kitchen scale for a huge part of my meal planning, mostly due to me having gastric bypass surgery. I haven't been using it for every meal like I used to, but I've been using it on a regular basis. When you buy stuff already prepared from the store, they're already pre measured into portions. But what do you do when you've prepared food from home? I'm trying to eat clean and healthy, so I've been getting back into measuring and keeping track of everything that I put in my mouth. The best way to monitor your eating habits and calories, is to measure and keep a food diary. Thanks to my new Kitchenier Kitchen Scale, mealtime and snacks are properly monitored. You'd be amazed at how quick the calories and fat can add up throughout the day, that you really wouldn't realize what you're truly eating until you write it down. I personally like to use an app on my cellphone for that... MyFitnessPal... username kimmie1980ca. If you're looking to track the food and drinks that you consume, feel free to add me.

Beauty recipe: Drink away your cellulite!
Summer will be here soon enough and my thoughts turn to cellulite. Aaaaaaaaargh! Swimsuits. Shorts. Mini-skirts. And cottage cheese thighs. Definitely not a good combination, though it strikes the best of us, regardless of size or age.
I have seen women who are a size 4 have bad cellulite, so my considerably chunkier thighs are fair game for the cottage cheese syndrome. Consequently, I have battled cellulite with every lotion, potion, cream and treatment available (and even some that are in the experimental stages) but have come to the conclusion that the only salvation lies in exercise, dry brushing, healthy eating AND this potent anti-cellulite drink.
How-to: Potent and simple
Squeeze the juice of one lemon into 8 ounces of water and add up to half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Mix thoroughly, drink thrice daily and watch the cellulite melt away.

The Little Munchkin Has Her 1st Cold - Cold and Flu Season For Babies and Young Children
![]() |
Brianna, © 2016 aspicyboycatandmyfatass.com |
We are fast into the winter season and the dreaded first cold hits, just as my daughter was getting used to a regular sleep and feeding schedule. Even though babies are born with some of their mother's immunity to illnesses, which is enhanced by breastfeeding, they're not fully protected from all viruses that cause upper respiratory infections. Most healthy babies will get sick on average of six to eight colds by their first birthday.
For many new parents like myself, the main concern is trying to decide if their baby has just a cold, or something more serious. Once you know the signs, it's easier to figure out.

Want to transition to a natural beauty routine? 12 simple tips to get you started
With so much toxicity around us, we are all increasingly leaning towards natural and organic products. They keep us safe, protect the environment and in many cases work better than chemical-laden ones, which may irritate the skin and be counter-productive in the long term due to their aggressive action.
In fact, the sales of natural and organic cosmetics is now running upwards of $11 billion annually. And you can find giant stacks of them everywhere from high end beauty aisles to your local department store.
But then there are the increasingly worrying reports of leading organic beauty brands containing the very chemicals they claim to avoid like the plague. Or being completely ineffective. And if you’re going to be shelling out higher-than-average prices for going “clean”, you want the authentic product. Right?
Unfortunately, the field of organic beauty is a murky one and it’s easy to get misled.
Fortunately, there are some things you can do to keep yourself safe and free of dupes.

Thinspiration Sunday - Weight Loss Inspiration
Today's weigh in: 183Lbs
I've been working at my new job now for a few weeks, and I'm enjoying it. When I originally started, I expected to be walking to and from work for every shift. Well, as of yet that hasn't happend. I guess one of the main reasons is that I've been staying at my mother's place, as my shift is 10am-10pm. Since I'm still breastfeeding the little Munchkin, it would be a real shock if I wasn't there in the middle of the night for a comfort feed. I probably could leave her over the Saturday night without me, and then walk to work Sunday morning... but I would feel guilty.

Tips To Help Eliminate Sugar Cravings
One of the main reasons that people crave sweets is because their insulin is high. Once it starts to fall, our body wants the sugar to spike it back up again. It's a horrible cycle, which will leave you feeling tired and fatigued.
Here are some tips to help you get back on track, to help you feel energetic again.
Increase your protein.
At times our body feels like our body wants sugar, when it's just craving protein. Try starting with an egg, or something that is high in protein.

Losing weight: The (super easy) Japanese way
Last month, I was introduced to a super-special lose-weight-as-you-eat dish. Called konjac, it’s a Japanese root vegetable that’s incredibly low in calories – 3 calories per 100 grams (considering 100 grams of cucumber have 10 calories, this is really, really low).
It’s completely gluten and wheat-free. And when you mix it with a little water, konjac transforms into a gel-like substance that traps fats, sugars and other toxins. Plus, it’s the highest natural source of natural dietary fiber, which makes it quite filling. It’s for all these reasons that konjac has long been known as a ‘broom for the stomach’ in its native Japan.

The Life With an Aquarium
Fish are wonderful pets to have. It can be so much fun to watch them swim around and play with each other. However, fish are not as easy to take care of as you might think. Taking care of an aquarium can be a lot of work. Constant maintenance must be done to ensure that it is a clean place for your fish to live. Neglecting your aquarium could result in your fish dying sooner than they normally should. Therefore, you need to make sure that you have everything you need to clean your aquarium and provide the best environment possible for your beloved fish. Here are some tips to buying nice accessories for your aquarium.

Enjoying a Little TLC With My ExfoliMate from #greenheartlabs
My daughter is just shy of seven months old, which means that things are slightly getting easier. Now when I say it's getting easier, I just mean that I have my shit together by now. Both her and I are on a regular routine, which now leaves a little me time. I don't get that many minutes throughout the day that's spent alone, so when I do get the chance, I take advantage of it. Something as simple as a bubble bath for ten minutes, is heaven! I recently had the opportunity of testing out a beauty product, that made me feel like I went to the spa. For most people using a product like the ExfoliMate Magic Body Cloth by Green Heart Labs, would be a normal bathing routine... for me, I'd be lucky if I manage to get time for a bath or a shower alone!
Green Heart Labs is a company that takes pride in offering products that are all natural, top quality, always free from parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and cruelty free.

Thinspiration Sunday (LATE): My Weekly Weigh In & Some Mom & Baby Exercise Moves!
Join me for Thinspiration Sunday's and create your own weight loss post to help inspire you to keep on track. It can be photos, poetry, recipes, or a diet tip. Make sure to have fun, and good luck!
Today's weigh in: 183Lbs
Since last Sunday I haven't lost any further weight. I'm sad regarding it, but still positive that it will be a better week. I originally had planned on walking to work daily, however, the babysitter was arriving later that I had hoped. I ended up getting a ride with my mom (babysitter) so that I wouldn't be late. I ate healthy most of the week, and made a point of recording everything that I put in my mouth. I didn't gain any weight, but I was able to maintain it. What am I doing differently this week? Well, on the days that I've been busing it to work, I take the stairs through the subway stations. I also get off the bus a few stops early so that I can walk a bit towards work. I also made a point of getting up every 30 minutes from my desk, to make sure that I stretch my body. I also go for a walk every 2 to 3 hours, which includes a washroom break and a breast pumping session. Since I'm new it's a little hard to get up every hour to go for a walk... ideally it would be great if I could go for a walk hourly.
