Start Early With Oral Healthcare for Babies and Toddlers #babyoralhealth #babyteeth

Brianna, © 2016 aspicyboycatandmyfatass.com
My little munchkin just had her fifteen month pediatrician visit, and I learned some interesting stuff. She received her next needle, which this time they gave to her via the upper arm and not the thigh (needle for chickenpox). We discussed her growth pattern, and that she's in the 85th percentage for both height and weight... she's 23 Lbs. Also, I brought up that she's been vomiting on occasion while sitting in her car seat in the car. After a couple questions, it turns out that it's motion sickness, and that a baby or toddler should ONLY BE IN A REAR FACING CAR SEAT UNTIL THEY'RE TWO. We had upgraded to a front facing seat after her one year checkup. Forget all claims regarding car seats being safe if a toddler is at least 22 Lbs! Since she was at the minimum, I assumed it was okay to switch to the big girl seat... I was wrong.

Anyway, back to the main reason for this post... when the doctor checked my daughters mouth, she had signs of tarter. She only has four teeth... never in a million years did I think that she would have tarter already. I felt like crying. So after a talk with the doctor, some personal research of my own, and plenty of time and frustration trying to combat the toddler teeth brushing tantrums, here's my post!

How To Overcome Separation Anxiety With Your Little One #separationanxiety

Brianna, © 2016 aspicyboycatandmyfatass.com
My daughter turned 1 a couple months ago, and I can't believe how much she's grown in such a quick time. It feels like just yesterday she was born, and now she is continously reaching for her momma. My baby is at the stage where she's experiencing major separation anxiety, and it's the main issue that we're trying to tackle at the moment.

From a scale of 1 to 10, how much does your little munchkin freak out when you leave the room?

Is she a 1?

I'm totally enjoying bouncing in my Exersaucer mom... I will let you know when I'm hungry or if there's a stinky poopoo in my pants!

Or is she a 10?

Momma... you turned around. Are you leaving me? Where are you going... waaaaah!

My daughter is pretty much around a 9, and it's quite challenging at times. She had a little anxiety in the past, like when I would put her to bed and walk away. I noticed a huge increase when I went back to work. Some days are good, and others bad... there's weeks that are high, and others low.

The Little Munchkin Has Her 1st Cold - Cold and Flu Season For Babies and Young Children

Brianna, © 2016 aspicyboycatandmyfatass.com
My little Munchkin is just a little over 7 months old, and she just came down with her first cold. It's heartbreaking seeing her this way, and I've lost quite a bit of sleep over it. Since this is her first cold, it's time to discuss colds and flu in babies and young children.

We are fast into the winter season and the dreaded first cold hits, just as my daughter was getting used to a regular sleep and feeding schedule. Even though babies are born with some of their mother's immunity to illnesses, which is enhanced by breastfeeding, they're not fully protected from all viruses that cause upper respiratory infections. Most healthy babies will get sick on average of six to eight colds by their first birthday.

For many new parents like myself, the main concern is trying to decide if their baby has just a cold, or something more serious. Once you know the signs, it's easier to figure out.

Having Trouble Conceiving? Try the SpermCheck Fertility- A Home Fertility Test for Men!

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I'm in my early 30's, and half of my friends are having kids or already started a family. I've had a miscarriage in the past, but haven't been successful having children until now. I don't have kids quite yet, however, I am pregnant. I'm farther along then I've ever been... I'm in my second trimester, and so far the baby appears to be healthy.

A little while ago when I was trying to get pregnant, I was doing pretty much everything I've read up on to help increase my odds. Since I have PCOS, a heart-shaped uterus, and 2 cervix's, I had it in my heart that I most likely would not be able to have children. Well, I'm happy to say that I've been blessed with a little angel... I'm so happy.

If you're someone who's been trying to conceive for some time, and haven't had any luck... there's many things that you can try. I was contacted by the company Spermcheck Fertility to test out their product.

SpermCheck Fertility is an accurate, affordable and easy-to-use home test for determining your sperm count. Fertility experts estimate that male fertility issues are the culprit in at least 40% of couples who are experiencing difficulty in conceiving, and point to low sperm count as one of the main causes of male sub-fertility and infertility. With SpermCheck Fertility, you will know within minutes if your sperm count is within “normal” range.

Interpreting the results of the SpermCheck test is simple. A positive result indicates that your sperm count is above 20 million sperm per milliliter of semen, which is the accepted standard among fertility experts for “normal” sperm count. A negative result indicates that your count is below the 20 million sperm per milliliter threshold, and that further testing by your doctor might be warranted to determine if low sperm count is causing any fertility issues.

Best of all, the SpermCheck test can be conducted in the privacy of your own home, providing you with valuable information about your fertility status – without the expense, embarrassment and inconvenience that often accompanies a clinical semen analysis. dad and babyWhy Test Your Sperm Count?

Low sperm count is one of the main causes of fertility issues in men. Simply put, a low sperm count decreases the probability that one of the sperm will be able to successfully fertilize the egg.

Because couples who are trying to conceive are often under a tremendous amount of stress and uncertainty, identifying barriers to conception is extremely helpful. By using SpermCheck Fertility to measure your sperm count, you can quickly determine if it is necessary to explore treatment options, including male fertility supplements (such as clinically-tested FertilAid for Men), prescription drugs and/or varicocele surgery, to increase your sperm count and enhance your chances of conceiving.

Does it actually work? My partner and I tried the home test, and the results appeared to be normal. Of course it doesn't replace going to the doctor and having tests performed, but is a nice and convenient way of a little reassurance.

Interested in trying the product? Of course you are... click here to grab yours today. Interested in checking out their Facebook or Twitter? Of course you are... you never know when you could come across a deal.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
