Today was her last day at daycare #growingtoofast

Today was Brianna's last day at daycare, and I don't think she really understand it. It breaks my heart when she keeps singing...

"Goodbye Bridlegrove, goodbye Bridlegrove, goodbye Bridlegrove... I'm sad to see you go. We've learned so much, we've learned so much, we've learned so much..." and that's about as much as I can remember at the moment. I might be a bit off, but it's a 4 year old that's singing the song... probably isn't 100% accurate!

I can't believe how fast time flies... it was just the beginning of last summer that she started daycare. It had taken me so long to get subsidy for it, that it was the soonest she could attend. It almost seems like she's growing every month or so... even her shoes that fit at the beginning of summer, are now snug on her feet.

With new shoes, school uniform, new backpack and a nervous mom, I hope that Brianna's first day of jr kindergarten is a happy and memorable experience.

1st Day of Daycare! #growinguptoofast #1stdayofschool #toddler

Today was a big day... it was Brianna's first day of full day daycare. I've been waiting for this day for a long time, as I had been waiting for the subsidy as well as a placement. She's just a few weeks shy of her third birthday, and she's finally in daycare. Up until now, it's been my mother and grandmother caring for her while I'm at work. Family is great, but she was starving for some friends.

I was a nervous wreck all day while at work, worrying that things were okay. I kept thinking that maybe she'd be crying for me. Maybe they'd forget to check her PullUps and she'd have poop in her diaper... yep, we're still battling the potty training. I was anxious when it came time to drop her off this morning, thinking that she'd cry when I left. I checked her in, spoke to her teacher, and said my "see you later", and she just sat down with a toy and waved bye with her back turned! Yep... she didn't give a shit! I felt sad, but happy at the same time.

How to Start a Home Day Care in Ontario, Canada

I was recently laid off from my job, in which I was quite upset. With me being in the third trimester of my pregnancy, it pretty much screwed me for looking for another job... plus I didn't get enough hours in to qualify for maternity leave. What I had in the back of my head prior to this, was to become a stay at home mother and start a small home daycare... now with the circumstances, it's my best option.

The home daycare is an option that's well suited for a mother who wants to be at home with her kids while they are young, but still earn money to support the family. In Ontario, Canada, a home daycare is allowed to have five children younger than 10, plus their own children. These homes don't have to be registered or licensed. However, registering with an agency can help aid in finding clients.
