1. Urinary tract infection prevention with cranberry juice
Your mother was right — cranberry juice really does help prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs). Of the 149 women who participated in a recent medical study, those who drank a daily glass of cranberry juice (made from concentrate) reduced their risk for recurrent UTI by 20 percent. The juice helps to deposit extra vitamin C in urine, creating an acidic environment that thwarts the growth and "stickability" of UTI-causing bacteria, researchers said.

Monday Medical Update
I've received several emails from people and I'm sorry I haven't replied yet. I'm still working on answering those, as well as reviews and giveaways. I haven't been on the computer much the last little while, I haven't been feeling good. I didn't even go to group therapy Friday, so that shows that I'm not doing that great. Friday I couldn't put my finger on what exactly was wrong... I just knew I wasn't well. I didn't sleep the night before, and just felt sick. I tried blogging on the weekend, and wasn't able to. It is now Monday, and I feel like shit. I believe I have a bladder infection... which the other day I published medical information regarding bladder infections.

Cystex Liquid Cranberry Complex with Proantinox for UTIs
Thanks to the folks at Cystex, I was recently given the opportunity to review their product. For as long as I can remember, I have been prone to urinary tract infections. A urinary tract infection can be very painful and long lasting unless treated right away. I can't tell you how many times I went to the doctor's office for a prescription to get rid of a urinary tract infection.
I have been using Cystex now for over three weeks, and I feel great! I feel refreshed, and my urge to urinate all the time has disappeared. It has now become part of my every day routine. I was originally hesitating to try this, since I've tried other stuff in the past, and never had any success. I always found cranberry juice too strong, and cranberry pills were too big to swallow... so I was out of luck. I just figured that I was stuck getting UTIs, and there was nothing really to help prevent it.
