I can't believe how quickly time flies by... it was this time last year I was contacting baby companies regarding reviewing their products. Now my little monkey is going on eleven months old, and I can't believe where the time went. She was born July of last year, and I treasure every step that I've passed with her along the way. I worked with the company SwaddleDesigns at that time, and set up a product review and giveaway for the holiday season. I had enjoyed four months of testing out their Ultimate Swaddle Lolli Fleur in the colour pink. I was fortunate to partner up with them again to test out some of their new Muslin Singles designs... and as a bonus, they sent me a package of Muslin bibs for my little monkey! Now I've had the items for a bit of time prior to writing this review, because as you know, the life of a new mom is quite hectic. At least I can truly say that I've fully tested out the products, and can give my honest opinion regarding them.

Check out the picture to the right... there's my little monkey Brianna! She's sporting one of the bibs that came in the package... doesn't she look cute?! Gosh, I love her!

To the left is a photo that I took last year of my daughter being swaddled in one of the Ultimate Swaddle blankets. Wow, I can't believe how much she has grown since this photo was taken. Even though I don't really swaddle anymore, it doesn't mean that I don't use the blankets... far from that. This blanket is light weight, but at the same time can be warm when needed since it's flannel. It easily fits in my diaper bag, and barely takes up any room. Even though we're in the summer months, this blanket gets used when we're out, as most places are air conditioned.

OMG... I just wanna kiss and squeeze those cheeks of hers, looking at the photo!

The company was founded in 2002 by Lynette Damir, RN, CEO and Creative Director. The idea for the company first came about, when she visited families with new babies in their homes, and noticed that they struggled trying to swaddle their babies. She noticed that most of them were using a blanket that was too small or thick, and they forgot how to make a secure swaddle. Parents kept asking her to share the secret of the hospital nurses... how to swaddle.

So Lynette used her medical background and education to develop the Ultimate Swaddling Blanket... which is a large square shaped blanket, with swaddling instructions sewn on the edge of the blanket. No need to keep scrap paper or packaging laying around for swaddle instructions, as they are on the tag!

The companies first customer was a hospital that purchased 4,000 blankets. They understood how important swaddling and the educational value of Lynette's blanket. It's important because it helps babies transition from the womb to the world, reduces the incidence of SIDS, helps babies sleep better and longer, and decreases waking up due to the startle of reflex. The blanket is a confidence builder for new parents... I've been using mine now for over a year now, and the new ones for about a month .

Over the past several years, the companies product line has grown significantly. Some items that they offer... zzZipMe Sack™ wearable blanket, stroller blankets, bibs, hooded towels, washcloths, a luxurious home collection with adult size blankets and throws, and a luscious certified organic cotton collection.

This is the box of goodies that arrived from the company... thanks SwaddleDesigns!

As usual, the wonderful company left a nice little letter at the top when I opened the box. A big special thanks to Lace for going above and beyond... thanks Hun. So once I looked under the letter, the whole package was sealed in tissue paper. Not only was the presentation excellent, but everything was packaged perfectly for the crazy journey through the postal systems.

I was sent two different designs from the Muslin collection: their Black XOXO, and Sterling Lilli Single. The packaging for bot were pretty much the same, as you can see the difference in the little window on each box. I love that it says "Wrap with LOVE" at the top of each box... really cute.

Black XOXO

Sterling Lilli Single

Both blankets are 100% cotton muslin, 46 in x 46 in (116 cm x 116 cm), and are super soft. They're incredibly lightweight, which makes these perfect for the summer months or warm climates. They come in a variety of colours and designs, and hold up well to multiple washes. What's perfect about these blankets, is that muslin cotton is better for babies... it helps prevent them from getting overheated. Notice the above picture how the fabric is nicely weaved, which is what helps the air circulate while you wrap your bundle of joy.

Muslin Baby Bibs - Package of 3 (Pink Thicket)

Even though both Brianna and I enjoy the two new Muslin blankets, my favorite out of the goodies is the Muslin bibs. Yes, finally some bibs that the little monkey can't pull off! I can't tell you how many bibs I have at home, but all I know is that in the middle of every feeding, they end up on the floor! Now with these... these are truly the best bibs that I own to date. They are made of the same 100% cotton muslin fabric like the blankets, and have three different designs. All are equally cute and pretty, and give my daughter endless fun of trying to grab the design with her little fingers. What makes these stand out above the rest? They have a snap closure at the back... which makes these top quality.
