I'm Excited!

I haven't written much all week, as I've been busy trying to get ready for Monday. What's so special about this coming Monday you may ask? Well, I'm back to work! Yep... I'm taking the plunge back into society, and I'm excited. The first week I will be working Monday to Friday 10am-2pm. Second week I'll be Monday to Friday 10am-4pm, and then after the holiday May 24 weekend I will be working Tuesday to Friday 10am-6pm. So three weeks of trying to get caught up and retraining in the banking field, and then back to regular full time pay without the insurance disability.

I'm also proud of myself because last Saturday I actually took a bus and subway to my friends house. Most of you may think this is nothing, but for someone who suffers from depression and anxiety... agoraphobia to be exact, this is a big deal. I did it all on my own, and this was a major step in my recovery process. I might have written about it already... I forget. Hey, I still have to write everything down since I'm forgetful! My life is made up of sticky notes and my daily planner.

I feel a huge improvement in my overall health. My confidence has increased, and I feel proud buying some new items for my back to work. I had to buy a new pair of dress pants and a bra... everything I owned was too big! It feels nice getting into old clothes that I used to wear before I got married (now divorced). I went from a size 26 pants to an 18... crazy eh?! I even bought a pair of black cargo pants that turn into capris and they were a size 16. I'm still stuck at 232Lbs, but I feel the difference in my body... yay for me!

  2. I just found your website. Very cool design and the writing is good too! I want to congratulate you on taking the subway. This is a big step for someone with agoraphobia. Good for you. Good luck with your weight loss too, that is what tweaked my interest to check out your blog. I'll be back soon!
