Guest Post - Day 2

By FreeHotSamples  GUEST BLOGGER

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I thought I would share this semi-freebie with everyone.

The Lydia Project is a wonderful organization in Georgia that offers free tote bags and ongoing emotional support to women who are undergoing cancer treatment. I have to be honest--the totes are free, however, they are a non-profit organization so they do charge $10.00 for shipping the tote.

The bags are offered in many hospitals and doctors offices across the county for free. But if a woman you know didn't get one, you can order a tote bag and have it shipped to her. The tote bags are handmade by volunteers. The bag includes inspirational journal, lotion, prayer request card and other supportive items. If the woman receiving the tote would like support from The Lydia Project all she has to do is return the prayer request card where she can list her phone number or email address and they will contact her.

The Lydia Project has volunteers across the county who offer encouragement to patients and their families. They also help women in their local area (Aiken, Burke, Columbia, McDuffie and Richmond Counties in GA) with rent, utilities and prescriptions while they undergo treatment.

To send a tote bag all you have to do is visit The Lydia Project website. Fill in the information requested, pay the shipping and it will be sent within 24 hours!

I know its not totally free but it would make someones day.
