It has been a challenge the last little while when it comes to my family. My family is growing, as my daughter Brianna entered the world this past July. Since my family expanded, my fur-baby Mr. Jingles has been having a hard time adjusting to the situation, which I assume is common with most pets. I even notice a huge difference with my moms cat Molly... she's been acting out since she's had to share all the attention, and has been urinating around the home. Both Molly and Jingles seem to have a thing with peeing on the couch in both homes, and have done it twice in the past week.

Now I know that one major issue at my home for Jingles peeing outside the litter box, is that my partner doesn't always keep the box clean. He's famous for being lazy at scooping the poop and pee, which after a few days the cat ends up finding his next favorite spot to be bad... my futon couch. What can I do to help prevent this from happening? Well, for starters I end up nagging for Brianna's dad to keep the box clean. But of course other than that, we try and keep up to date on Jingles annual vet visit. Since he has litter box issues at times, we always end up having him tested for UTI's. I've been fortunate that he's never had one, but my mom's cat Molly has had one a couple of times.

Molly has been on a couple different medications for UTI and hairball control. We've tried so many different products, and most never seemed to really solve the problem. Since she's extra special, and by that I mean that she's a cat with OCD... she's famous for hairballs. Her OCD makes her want to excessively clean herself, to the point of hair loss in some areas. Since she's constantly eating her hair, it's hard to try and maintain coughing up those hairballs.

Did you know that hairballs are the number one condition in cats for pet parents*, and urinary infections are the number one reason cat owners visit their vet**. Constant visits to the vet and medications can be costly, so the new Hill's® Science Diet Urinary and Hairball Control formula available at PetSmart, can be the perfect solution for good feline urinary health and hairball control.

The new Hill's Science Diet Urinary and Hairball Control formula is the only cat food that controls both conditions in one formula. A healthy diet with the right balance of nutrients is very important, and the Hill's Science Diet new line of products is formulated to support the health of the whole urinary system, from kidneys to bladder, through an optimal level of magnesium and natural fiber to help avoid hairball formation in healthy adult cats. There's no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives!

My grandmother was at the point of almost making my mother surrender Molly since she keeps peeing. I'm quite curious and interested to see if this new line of cat food will help prevent her current problem, as it's a sin to give a pet up for this type of reason. Both my mother and I love PetSmart, and can't wait to test out this new line of Science Diet products... with proper diet, patience, and a clean litter box, we should all become a happier family!
