Tuesday 2 October 2012 buying glasses in the comfort of your home!

For as long as I can remember, I've worn prescription glasses. I believe I was in elementary school, grade seven when I got my first pair. Times sure have changed when it comes to the way you can purchase your eyeglasses... you can now buy them online and save money, at the comfort of your own home. For years my mother and I used to walk into our local glasses store, and spend hours picking out the latest trends and trying them on. It used to be so time consuming, and a pain in the butt having to walk to the mirror over and over until you finally found the pair of of your choice.
When you purchase your glasses online, you're saving so much money compared to getting them at a store. I came across, and found several pairs that I liked. They have a handy tool that's called the "virtual mirror", which allows you to use a personal photo or webcam, and place the glasses against your face as if you're trying them on. This tool helped me narrow it down to a few pairs of glasses to select from, in which I copied and pasted the photos and sent them to my mom to pick her favorite.

If you're looking for top quality glasses, at a fraction of the retail cost, then shopping online at is your best bet! What kind of glasses do they offer? Everything from: prescription glasses, prescription sunglasses, multi-focal glasses, cheap eyeglasses, and much more. What styles do they offer? Everything from: full frames, semi-rimless, rimless, men's and woman's, classic, designer, and retro/vintage.

With purchasing your glasses online, you're getting the frames at cost, and avoid retail mark-ups. Sure sales people are nice and okay to deal with, but skipping that step saves you quite a bit by making your selections via online. Need some assistance while making a purchase? No worries, they offer customer service via phone, or email.

Lady Liberty by DC's Washington Collection of eyeglasses are the epitome of independent style. Anything but ordinary, these black plastic frames are rectangular in shape and have a hint of red towards the arm. Adorning the arms are beautiful buckles for a creative fashion statement.

  1. Thanks fot this post and the discount codes. I'm always afraid to buy my glasses online-- although I would love to because they're super expensive--because I wear progressive bifocals and am not sure how you get the correct measurements to them for placement of the lenses for the progressives. I'll have to check it out but my daughter just asked me where she could get some new glasses for little money so this is perfect timing.

  2. Thanks for sharing the post and the coupon.
