In Honor of the Tatas: Someone's Hero T-shirt & Bracelet Giveaway in Honor of Breast Cancer Month!

People wear t-shirts to support their favorite brands, support their favorite teams, support their favorite bands, and to support specific events. Most people put on a t-shirt at some point every single day; it’s part of their routine and they don’t give it a second thought. The owners of Someone's Hero: Aaron and Andrew, always started their days by throwing on a t-shirt and turning on the morning news. While eating their breakfast, they would discuss national events and started seeing a pattern... story after story of misfortune, natural disasters, and personal loss befalling good, hard-working people. They felt an overwhelming need to help, and that's when Someone's Hero was born... why not wear a t-shirt to support people who need help, to aide and support people who need it, and recognize those that give it, and become "someone's hero" themselves.


Their t-shirts are supporting everything from our troops to breast cancer research. Someone's Hero is making a difference with your help and creating heroes every day.

Here are their supported charities. They do not represent any of these charities, however they do believe in each and everyone of these and support each one with proceeds from the sale of each shirt. Right now they are committed to giving 25% of the net proceeds from each shirt back to the shirt's respective charity. As they grow, they will be ordering more shirts and their costs will come down. BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR HERO: Susan G. Komen For the Cure - Susan G. Komen fought breast cancer with her heart, body and soul. EVERYDAY HERO: "Homeless Program" - Someone's Hero was recently informed that we may not list the charity that this shirt benefits unless we can commit to giving $50,000 per month. We are a brand new company and cannot support this amount at this time. However, we still believe in this charity and will continue to give, however we may not list their company name. Through the assistance of local and national food assistance programs, XXXXXXX XXXXXXX is able to provide nutritious, fresh foods to Americans struggling with hunger; safe and nurturing places for children to have a meal; emergency assistance for disaster victims; as well as a chance at self-sufficiency for adults trying to break the cycle of poverty and hunger.

FIRE/RESCUE HERO: National Fallen Firefighters Foundation - NFFF provides support to survivors after a firefighter dies in the line of duty. Families and chiefs receive emotional support through peer support networks. Spouses and children of fallen firefighters are eligible for scholarship assistance for education and job training. The "Taking Care of Our Own" training program is offered nationwide to senior fire officers, chaplains, and Honor Guard commanders to provide guidance on how to prepare for line-of-duty deaths and establish pre-incident programs and procedures.

MILITARY HERO: Wounded Warrior Project - WWP was founded in Roanoke, Virginia by a group of veterans and friends who took action to help the injured service men and women of this generation. It's purpose is to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, help injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.

PATRIOTIC HERO: Disabled American Veterans - The DAV is a non-profit charity dedicated to building better lives for America’s disabled veterans and their families. Annually, the DAV represents more than 200,000 veterans and their dependents with claims for benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense. The DAV’s voluntary services program operates a comprehensive network of volunteers who provide veterans free rides to and from VA medical facilities and improve care and morale for sick and disabled veterans. I was sent a Breast Cancer t-shirt and bracelet from Someone's Hero,  and I have to say that the quality is excellent. I'm proud to wear the shirt, and have had compliments on it wherever I go.  I haven't been effected by breast cancer myself, but have known someone dear to me that passed away from cancer. At some point, cancer will effect our lives, and it's sad. With it being October, I felt that this is the perfect time to add my review/giveaway on Someone's Hero Breast Cancer products. October is known as Breast Cancer awareness month, so I am spreading awareness this way. I am participating in the breast cancer event "In Honor of the Tatas", which actually starts October 21, 2011 and runs until October 24, 2011.
