What's All the Chatter About Smingle?!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Smingle.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

I've never really tried a dating site before, but I used to be addicted to online chatrooms! I always found that I had greater success at getting to know someone online, before actually going on a date. Meeting guys in a bar or somewhere else always seemed based on physical, instead of actually having things in common.

I met my ex-husband online through a friend, and I met my current boyfriend online as well. We chatted for over a month before we met... so we already knew what the other liked. I always figured it was better knowing certain stuff before meeting them... that way you didn't waste you time and then finding out the truth!

I recently checked out a new virtual dating site... which was quite easy to sign up. Everything was straight forward... didn't feel like it was an interview or that you had to write an essay on your life! For me, anything that takes longer then ten minutes to set up, I hate!

So the site is called Smingle and has many awesome features:
  • While on a date, interact through 3D characters (avatars).
  • As you chat, your character responds naturally to the typed text, providing a realistic dating experience.
  • Age your virtual dating avatar
  • Customize your look (adjust skin and hair color)
  • Change your clothes and add accessories
  • Type in LOL and your avatar actually laughs.
  • Hit the smile button and your avatar smiles.
  • You can blow your date a kiss or reach over and touch the hand of your date's avatar.
  • Easy to use because it resembles a typical IM chat but is very intuitive.
  • Play games and see if you match!
  • Upload a photo and enjoy 3 months premium services!!!
Coming soon: Photo fit! Create a realistic character from your profile photo, and within minutes you will get an email that your avatar is ready!

(European Journal of Social Psychology) says:

"People who go on virtual dates first tend to like each other more when they meet and are two times more likely to go on a second date."

"Computer-based communication results in more self-disclosure, and can be more effective than face-to-face interaction at early stages of a relationship."

So all you single folks out there... swing by and check it out... it's fun!
