Feeling Inspired With #simplyeartha

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

With the holidays quickly approaching, I'm greeted in every store with holiday themed items. People will be going to Christmas parties and family events, which means lots of pretty dresses, sparkly shirts, and lots of bling. I'm not that much of a girly girl, but I do like stuff that's shiny and sparkly, whether it be some form of jewelry or makeup. I recently came across the company Simplyeartha... a line of accessories that say something. They're little reminders that you wear, a form of inspiration at your fingertips. Kitt Shapiro's company is a tribute to her mother's wisdom and beauty. Yes, Eartha was her given name.

Holiday Gift Guide: Amazing Artists Around the World With Novica - $50 Gift Certificate #Giveaway #Holidaygiftguide2014

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

It's that time of year again, when people start thinking about shopping for the holiday season. I'm famous for having all my shopping completed early, and this year is no exception to that. In the spirit of Christmas, I'm working with a number of companies who have joined in my Holiday Gift Guide 2015... and this is my eighth post!

I'm born and raised in Canada, but I have to say I've always had a love for other parts of the world. I love living in Canada and being Canadian, and have a love for all types of art. I guess you can say I'm a bit of a dreamer, and wish to someday travel the world to enjoy a wider range of art. I came across an awesome website that showcases artists from around the world, where you can purchase their art: Novica. Novica is in association with National Geographic, and everyone has heard of them!

Novica features artists from around the world: Andes, Bali and Java, Brazil, Central America, India, Mexico, Thailand, and West Africa. By purchasing from Novica, you're helping those smaller companies and artists that may not have that much money. Visit Novica Live and find out how you can become a consultant, or even host your own Novica party!

A Keepsake Token For Life

Many people choose cremation when deciding on their funeral options, which requires them to also decide who will receive their ashes afterward, or where they will be interred if a location is chosen as their final resting place. This part of the funeral arrangements may cause some surviving family members to feel left out and excluded at worst. At best, others might experience a sense of increased loss when their family member passes away, simply because there is no physical location, unless a specific location is chosen, for them to visit as there is with those who choose a traditional burial plot.

Having chosen a keepsake bracelet in advance will prevent this heightened sense of loss for surviving loved ones. Some people choose to have several purchased, especially in the case of large families. Many who have one of these bracelets often feel the loss of their family member with less severe pangs than those who do not have such a bracelet. While giving a awareness of the continuity of life through the circular shape, a bracelet also provides many wearers with a reminder of the deceased one that can be worn to increase a sense of closeness and bring back fond memories.

Latest Trend: Leather Charm Bracelets

I'm so excited to share with you another website that can help you save money. Yes, with normal living expenses everything can add up quickly... so I jump at the chance to save money wherever and whenever I can. I recently came across a place called Penny Auctions online, where they host auctions and daily deals. There's plenty of auctions that you're able to bid free on, with an ever growing list of items for less. You're also able to purchase items outright if you don't want to wait for the auction to end. Items are being added on a daily basis, so it's best to swing by morning and night!

I was fortunate to work with the company, as they sent me one of their items to review. I love anything fashion related, so I jumped at the chance to review one of their awesome bracelets - Leather Charm Bracelet. It's a three strand bracelet that is made up of leather which can be fastened by two steel clasps with a lobster claw closure. It's fully adjustable, so you're able to fit almost any wrist... with the acceptation of a toddler.

The bracelet is good for daily wear, however, the metal charms tend to tarnish or may turn your skin green if worn for multiple days at a time. I would recommend not to wear it around water, as it would shorten the life of the bracelet. It's super cute, trendy, and you can purchase it at a fraction of the cost of the same thing in retail stores.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Day 12: 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways - Win a $50 Gift Certificate For Blue Steel!

I'm a woman who LOVES all kinds of girly stuff... make-up, fashion, and of course anything that sparkles. At the top of my list would have to be jewelry, as a girl can never have too much. I recently came across a company called Blue Steel, and I must say I fell in love with their sparkling beauty. The online store carries all kinds of funky jewelry for both woman and men, and at all price points. If you're looking for something different and unique, you'll be sure to find some of that there.

They feature a wide variety of classic, contemporary and artistic styles created in surgical grade stainless steel, titanium, tungsten, and sterling silver. You’ll find jewelry that begs for a night out on the town, pieces that make lasting special gifts, styles that perfectly represent who you are to the world, and many beautiful ideas for matching couples jewelry.

I was sent an item for review from Blue Steel: Dragon Fire - Bold Design Deep Red and Black Carbon Fiber Stainless Steel Bracelet. A powerful statement piece, the bracelet combines the lasting strength of stainless steel with a bold, deep red, carbon fiber inlay for a handsome fusion he'll love. The surgical grade steel won't stain or tarnish, so he'll enjoy the fire energy of the dragon for many years to come. Engravable too!

I own a fair amount of jewelry and wanted something different from what I already had. My partner isn't one who wears much jewelry, so I wanted something that was casual, unique, top quality, and could be for either daily wear or for special occasions. The pictures don't do this piece justice, as it really is a nice item for anyone's collection. It's heavy duty, has a gorgeous shine, and won't pull on your arm hair if you're a man that's hairy. This would make for the perfect gift for that special man in your life this holiday season!

Day 11: 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways - Win a $50 Gift Certificate for The Pretty Peacock!

I have always been the type of woman who likes anything that sparkles. Whether it be makeup, clothing, or my favorite... jewelry. Even though I'm not much of a girly girl, I still love wearing jewelry to match my outfit. Gold, silver, jewels, even costume jewelry... I like it all! A lady can never own too much jewelry, and I love adding to my collection, especially unique and artsy stuff. I recently came across the company The Pretty Peacock, and they offer all kinds of unique and meaningful pieces that would make for the perfect gift.

What makes them stand out above the others? Simple... they create tangible memories - treasured keepsakes to last a lifetime. Each piece of jewelry, or work of art I like to call it, is hand crafted with love.

I was fortunate to be able to review an awesome piece of jewelry: Inspiral Sculpture Pendant - Sanskrit Shakti - Strength. The text on this pendant reads: "Shakti" - in Sanskrit, with the English translation: Strength. Each spiral is handmade, with a beautiful henna/mendhi pattern on the inside. The pattern is part of the silver, not etched on. The text is hand stamped and not engraved, so it will never rub away. They use echo-friendly sterling silver, no cheap metals or plating of metals. Each pendant measures 2.5" tip-to-tip, and comes with a sterling silver chain.

There's a number of Inspiral pendants to chose from, you can even personalize and create your own. They have "Anam Cara - Soul Friend", "You Are Loves - Always", "A Mothers Love Knows No End", Sanskrit "Abahya - Fearless", and Sanskrit "Yodha - Warrior". I went with the "Strength" pendant, to help add a little extra token of inspiration.

Some other items that I'd love to own...

Bee Charming: They Will Keep You Buzzing For More!

I'm a woman who LOVES all kinds of girly stuff... make-up, fashion, and of course anything that sparkles. At the top of my list would have to be jewelry, as a girl can never have too much. I recently came across a company called Bee Charming, and I must say I fell in love with their sparkling beauty. The online store carries all kinds of funky jewelry for both woman and men, and at all price points. If you're looking for something different and unique, you'll be sure to find some of that there.

The company specializes in offering wholesale custom jewelry, which have been featured throughout the media. They've been seen in some of the regular magazines that I read: InStyle, Flare, OKMagazine, Lucky Magazine, US Weekly, and an old favorite in my teen years: Seventeen. Offering the latest trends, alongside with a funky unique flare, Bee Charming is a hit for all ages.

I was sent a really nice piece of jewelry from their bangle section, and I have to say it's the funkiest bangle I own. I selected the Bali Dark Bangle, which is a gorgeous lightweight bangle that's made of banana bark. It's nicely smoothed out, with layers of the Hindu Gods/Idols Shiva and Lakshmi, that are laminated for a shiny finish. The bracelet is a work of art in its own, and was created by an artist in Bali.

Some of my other favorites on Bee Charming are...
