I love how fast the site works... you're in an auction room, and you can visually see a cartoon room filled with people. There's an auctioneer standing at a podium, and there's cute little box windows that pop up with what the auctioneer is saying. Over to the right of the screen, you will find the item up for sale, along with a bidding button. It states the price, shipping, and of course pictures of the item up for grabs.
Just below the featured item for auction, you would find the upcoming items that will follow the current auction. This is handy so you know everything that will be listed in advance. One extra feature that I like... there's a chat section below the auction room. This makes for the perfect place to quickly ask a question, instead of having to send an email and wait for an answer like other auction sites. Wanna quickly view information about the item? Of course you do... just click on the photo, and it zooms in for more info.
We’ve just discovered an addictive new auction site called Tophatter, where buyers bid for sellers’ unique goods in fast-paced virtual auction rooms. From crafts and DIY projects, to antiques, jewelry, home décor and much more, there’s no limit to what you can discover on Tophatter.
With live auctions every day, sellers get to showcase their wares from around the world to a community of thousands of buyers, and answer questions via chat as the clock ticks down. Each lot sells in an average of two minutes, so buyers must bid quickly!
Tophatter’s auctions become interactive live events where buyers and sellers can hang out, chat, and win. Led by the esteemed Sir Wendell Wattington and his animated family, Tophatter auctions keep the fun rolling in.
