It's almost two years now since I've had the gastric bypass weight loss surgery, and I find that I'm still losing my hair at times. I used to have such thick, curly hair, which is now straight as can be, and lacks the thick body that I used to have. I'm not going bald, but I do notice a HUGE change in my hair, which is a result to rapid weight loss, and not getting enough protein. Many people face the same problem that I have, but not necessarily due to the same medical reason as myself. There's plenty of products on the market that claims to help your hair grow back, look thicker, and of course there's the expensive cosmetic procedures that are dreadfully expensive. Thanks to a product called Fibond, I now don't feel as self conscious about my thinning hair, and it's easy and actually affordable!
You may be wondering how does Fibond work? Well, it's not a product that helps your hair grow back, it's a product that helps camouflage thinning hair and mild baldness. It's not something that's meant to perform miracles, but it does help many people with thinning hair. The last couple years due to medical reasons, I've had thinning hair in certain areas on my head. I found the thinning was happening mostly in the front, fairly close to the hairline. Adding this product to that region, helped it to look slightly thicker, and covered the bare spots.
How does it really work? Well, with your hair dry you would hold the bottle at roughly a 45 degree angle over the thinning area. Just shake the bottle gently, and the product comes out. I found that the best result was to hold the product 2 hours above where you want to use it. It clings nicely to the hair, and you don't have to worry about it falling out onto your clothes, hat, or wash away in the rain. I personally preferred to rub the product into my scalp slightly, due to the fact that it was closer to the front of my face. No one noticed that I was using the product, but my husband did make a comment that my hair looked closer to how it used to be prior to surgery.
