Day 8: 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways - Tatcha Sampler Set Giveaway!

With all the health problems that I've had over the last few years, my skin has sure taken a beating. I've tried many different products, and it's hard to pin point which ones are the best for my skin. I've always had sensitive skin, dry yet oily in places, and it can sometimes flake due to psoriasis around the hairline. When I came across a company called Tatcha, I was automatically drawn to their website, and wanted to give them a try... and I'm glad I did. Tatcha is a Japanese beauty company, which uses the idea of the beauty ritual of the Geisha for their products.

The time honored ritual followed by geisha is as essential to exquisite skin as her preparations. Ritual is that place where time ceases to exist.

Unlike Western routines marked by harsh, skin stripping formulas and the use of “cover-up” cosmetics, these ceremonies focus on cleansing, massaging, nourishing, and protecting the skin via natural, time-tested botanicals and minerals. These beauty sacraments are akin to a spiritual and aesthetic meditation.

TATCHA’s beauty ritual faithfully emulates the finely honed, effortless regimen of the geisha. This elegant ritual is suitable for all ethnicities and ages, but especially for those with combination skin seeking solutions for prevention and repair.

I was sent a combination of products from Tatcha for review: The Tatcha Sampler Set (beauty papers, Pure cleansing gel, Radiant brightening serum, Supple silk cream), and Supple Silk Cream regular size. First impression... wow! The packaging of the products were above and beyond. The sampler set was in a pretty little pouch that was sealed. I didn't even know exactly what it was at first, until I opened it. Regardless, it looked pretty before it even got opened. The other item was the original sized Supple Moisture Rich Silk Cream, which came in a gorgeous box. I loved the design and decoration of everything... simple with a touch of color. Very classy looking, you can tell this is a high end product prior to using it.

For the actual products, it's a four step program to beauty! It's a simple regimen that anyone can follow flawlessly. Even for those who are a bit lazy when it comes to washing their face at night, this is still doable. Once you feel the difference your skin feels, you won't wanna miss using it. It leaves your skin super soft, it really does feels and looks like porcelain skin.

Start off wit the Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil. This step helps remove the make-up that's on your face, or it's also perfect for those with dry skin. Camellia and rice bran oils form the base of this cleanser, which also helps condition the skin. This gets massaged onto a dry face and rinsed off.

The second step is the Polished Rice Enzyme Powders, which is meant to help exfoliate the skin. It doubles as an exfoliant and a cleanser, and can be used morning and night. Just pour some into your wet hands, and rub them together to turn it into a creamy foam. Massage onto your wet face, and then rinse. What I love about this item is that it doesn't require a lengthy amount of time on the skin, or hard scrubbing to leave the skin polished. The rice and papaya enzymes help work to release debris from the skin without burning, tingling or harsh abrasives.

The third step is using the Radiant Deep Brightening Serum. This can too be used morning and night all over the face. It helps boost the moisture and radiance of the skin, while working to prevent age spots, and clarifying existing age spots. Thank you Radiant!

The last step is the Supple Moisture Rich Silk Cream. A little goes a long way with this product, so only a pearl size is needed. This is an anti-aging cream that helps provide long lasting moisture, while promoting the skin's natural hyaluronic acid synthesis. Just Massage a little into the skin day and night. The cream absorbs into the skin quickly, while leaving your skin feeling weightless and silky smooth. It also makes for the perfect primer prior to make-up application.

One of my favorite items from the bunch is the Beauty Papers. They are the perfect little item to keep in your purse, that helps absorb oil and sweat, without removing the moisture from your skin. This is the perfect little pick me up during the day, and I love them!
