Confessions of a Catholic Cop ~ Giveaway!

I get a lot of novels to read and review, and I have to say that Confessions of a Catholic Cop by Thomas Fitzsimmons, was one of my favorites. When I was contacted to review the book, I knew very little about it. I'm not a religious person, so when I heard the word "Catholic" in the title, I was a little hesitant in accepting the offer. I shouldn't say I'm not religious, because that's not true... I just don't read that many Christian books.

When I first received the book, to be honest, the cover didn't catch my eye at all. The cover doesn't do this book justice, and I know you should never judge a book by it's cover! For this book, that is totally true. The book is the story of a ten-year police veteran/ part-time actor who digs deep to solve an arson plot that leaves those closest to him, changed forever.

ABOUT:

“The rough streets of the South Bronx – home to countless gangs, pimps, and hustlers. Where a gunshot is as common as a baby crying and a day without a murder is an oddity. This is where 10-year police veteran Michael Beckett has spent his career.

When he lands a walk-on role on “Law & Order,” Beckett hopes to trade chasing criminals for a new life in front of the camera…and maybe even to settle down with the show’s beautiful writer, Solana Ortiz. But when Solana’s South Bronx neighborhood goes up in flames in a string of arsons, Beckett must put aside his caviar dreams and do what he does best – police work. With the help of his fanatical partner, Vinnie D’Amato, Beckett unlocks a heinous scheme that reaches into the deepest pockets of power and greed in New York City. “

If you're someone looking for a good action/thriller of a book, this is one you'd enjoy. It took me about two days to read the book, and it was hard to put it down. It's very easy to read, and reminded me of a CSI type of episode.

The successful book has sold more than 20,000 copies worldwide, and is available for purchase in electronic and paperback versions on Amazon.com and the Barnes and Noble website. The eBook, which is compatible with Kindle, Nook and Apple products, is only $2.99.

Looking to pick up your own copy of the book? Visit Amazon to buy it. They have both the Kindle version or paperback!
