Getting Back Up When Life Knocks You Down - Review

How do you react to life's hard knocks? Do you get angry at God, or do you see difficulties as opportunities for spiritual growth? Claiming that God does not waste our trials or our tears, Kingsley offers real-life stories to help you work through feelings of guilt, bitterness, and despair and embrace forgiveness, peace, and hope.

The last week or so has been quite hard for me, as I've been down. I actually read this book in a few hours, as it actually cheered me up for a short while. It's a great read to help you pick yourself up, and for me the last little while it's been hard to do. For the last few years I've loved blogging, and always had something to say. The last few days, I felt speechless and actually lost interest in everything. You know I'm not feeling good if I'm not blogging and watching Big Brother. I've just been taping every episode, and haven't really been caring to watch it. If you actually know me, you know that Big Brother is my favorite show.

This uplifting book meets people when they are down, helping them to transform their lives. In each chapter the author explores a response to a crisis and shows how working through crises can lead to strength, peace, forgiveness, and hope. Kingsley offers snapshots of different people and their responses to difficult situations, including his own tough times and how he has overcome. This faith-based book will appeal to a wide range of readers, both Christians and non-Christians.

Getting Back Up When Life Knocks You Down, by Jeremy Kingsley is a great book for any collection. I'm glad it's a new addition to mine.
