The Heart-Smart Diabetes Kitchen: Holiday Teaser Review!

Having a heart-smart diet is one of the most important things you can do for your health. It significantly affects your risk and management of chronic diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and cancer. Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death around the world, and people with diabetes are especially at risk - more than 65% (2 out of 3) die from these afflictions. Heart attacks also occur earlier in life with diabetes. That's why it's essential for everyone with diabetes to be heart smart in the kitchen.

Canolainfo.org has recently launched "The Heart-Smart Diabetes Kitchen: Fresh, Fast, and Flavorful Recipes Made with Canola Oil" cookbook. I would like to say thank you to Lauren, who gave me the opportunity to test and review the new cookbook.

All 151 recipes in "The Heart-Smart Diabetes Kitchen" are made with canola oil, which is one of the healthiest options when it comes to oil. It's an oil that has the least amount of saturated fats, and it's free of trans fat and cholesterol. Canola oil has a high smoke point (heat tolerance) and a neutral taste, so is perfect for just about everything!

The cookbook, which was developed by CanolaInfo and the American Diabetes Association (ADA), is filled with healthy, delicious and easy recipes. I enjoy cooking, but I'm not very good at following a recipe. This cookbook is easy to follow, even for people like me!

If you want healthy homemade meals and don't want to sacrifice on taste, then this is the perfect cookbook for you. Every recipe is designed for people who don't want to be slaving in the kitchen all day... they are all fairly quick to make. The recipes are designed to be healthy, to help you take care of your heart and get your diabetes under control... and of course so you can still enjoy eating!

  1. Except from this you may take some natural supplements to loose your weight. I will go for 'Calotren' a pure natural herbal product.
