The CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) just opened on the 20th, so that means that summer is almost over. That's right... the kiddies are heading back to school! I don't have kids myself, but hopefully some day soon. Since we're on the topic of Back to School, I would like to talk about post education. Ever wanted to change your career? Sick of working in a dead end job? Then you should continue reading!
I would like to thank Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowships for the opportunity to write about them. At Woodrow Wilson, they provide recent college/university graduates, and career changers in STEM fields with a $30,000 grant/scholarship to complete a master's degree at one of fourteen locations.
**Candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree in STEM field before June 2011. They must graduate with a 3.0 GPA or higher and demonstrate a commitment to the program.
Becoming a Fellow: You must complete a master's degree in teacher education. You must commit to teach for a minimum of three years in a highly needed school, and you will receive support and mentoring in the classroom.
"The Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowships seeks to recruit, prepare and retain effective teachers for the students and schools who need them most."
