My Friday Complaining

BWS tips buttonOne Crazy Brunette Chick

You know what time it is? It's my Friday Complaining time! This is a good time to vent on this weeks shit! (It's okay to say it-it's not a bad word!) To whom/what would you like to say Fawk You to today?

I'm sure glad it's Friday... gee I'm talking like I worked a whole week! I've had a lot of things to think about this week, as my gastric bypass surgery has been scheduled. Just two months to go until surgery, and I'm excited. Now for the complaining part... yet again I had to roll up my sleeve and have a nurse stick me with a needle. I'm getting quite good at it now. I seem to be giving blood on a regular basis for testing... it doesn't even hurt anymore.

I woke up this morning to the smell of cat urine, so I'm not happy. I've cleaned my mattress so many times since the beast took a tinkle, and I can't get rid of the smell. I'm at the point where I don't know what to do. I've used dish detergent, vinegar, baking soda, laundry detergent, bleach, lysol and even a cat urine stain/smell remover. I don't know what the hell is with his urine, but damn it's strong. I love my baby, but I really don't want to sleep with cat piss... and yes he's already fixed. Shame on you Jingles... shame on you.

  3. I would call my vet and ask what you can do. There should also be some kind of matteress cover that you could put on to prevent it from soaking through. Good luck!

  4. I'd second the matress cover. You can buy water proff ones.

To get the smell out you might try putting coffee grounds on your mattress when it is dry. The only problem with it is you need to let them set several days and then man all you smell is coffee. I had a friend who did that in her closet.

If you don't like coffee ummm yeah forget what I just typed. :)

  5. Have you tried Febreeze yet? That might help.

  8. Hey there,
I found your blog on yousaytoo and thought I'd visit. I love it! I really love the cat pics. :) adorable.

I wish I could shed some light on the cat urine issue, but unfortunately I've had the same problem and the smell is terrible. It seems to never go away. I used to get headaches really bad from the amonia smell in the urine because my cat decided to pmake a litter box in the carpet behind the couch! We had to completely get rid of the carpet and that's the only thing that stopped the smell. It's such a hassle. We tried resolve it's good for that stuff & it really seemed to work well, but itt was hard to tell since our carpet was already so far gone.

Anyways, best of luck with your surgery... and the cat pee. I'm going to follow you don't forget to let us all know how the surgery goes. :)

    Warmest wishes,
    Kendra
